Suria Sabah Cutting Job

early April i went to Kota Kinabalu to conduct a site training for our new Diamond Service Contractor, Redback Construction Sdn Bhd.
Suria Sabah is a development on a reclaim land at Kota kinabalu, boasting a shopping mall combined with 4 or 5 star hotel.
Currenty there are demand to change the location of teh escalator as shop owner complain that a few escalator are not in their favor as the location of the escalator will tend to make shopper not notice their shop.
big beams with no time to waste makes it a no choice for hacking. so Redback step in to do the cutting thus eliminating touch up needed after the job finish as with diamond cutting you don't need to touch up later.
cut the tile mortar with DCH300 electric cutter and PMC 36 line laser so we can plant drop in anchor inside the concrete, not inside the mortar.


After separating the slab, we cut the beam using the 1200mm saw blade. LP32 proved to be reliable to cut even beams full with rebar.

As you can see, 44 number of rebar with steel link cut through as well. no problem with Hilti DLP32 wall saw system.

KL Pavilion Tower crane Base Demolition

KL Pavilion is an upmarket shopping center located in the heart of Sungai Wang, boasting a very refresh experience for shopper (with loads of money of course) and a very classy shop lots.
Last February our customer, CASES sent in their LP32 wall saw unit for service. while we service their unit, we lend them our loaner unit as they cannot stop the job.
as the construction finish, they need to remove the tower crane base so they can utilize the space for other usage. CASES got the job and use their LP32 to cut as the beams are very big and thick.


Hacking are very slow and as you can see, you need to cut the rebar later.


sent the repaired unit back to them. in front is our loaner unit.

Jedok Granite Quarry Wire Sawing

At 0400 hour, i started the long journey to Kelantan to fulfil a job task: testing Hilti CH Wire at a granite quarry. the task is set up by Darryl Fong, Key Account Manager for Hilti Malaysia, you're the man, bro. if we succeed this task, we are blessed with infinite sales of diamond wire for the next 47 years. My task is solely to see if the wire are up to the quary standard. this is a new experience to me and to Hilti Malaysia generally as we never have experience on granite 100%. all we encounter all these time is concrete and this CH wire are the best for this application. now, its show time.
A windy and breezy morning greets me as i exit Kuala Kangsar PLUS exit and enter Jalan Grik - Pasir Puteh. I open the window and enjoy the breeze. You'll never get this at KL.

I stopped at one of the peak of the mountain road. Later i discover there are a better stop with better view but i'm driving too fast that time to stop.

Getting into the quarry, at last. After 8 hours driving, i still need to do some work before i can rest. Delivering the CH wire to the Site Manager. The granite hill greets me gracely.

Breakfast next morning. Ayam Bakar and Nasik Lemak. Really nice food. Kelantan is well known for their exotic food and i agree with the statement. You'll never get hungry here.

Square One Cutting Job

khamis lepas aku melawat satu jobsite di batu pahat. square one dah pun siap dah selmaat diduduki tetapi parkson telah membeli ruang parking tingkat atas. oleh itu, kerja kerja demolition perlu dijalankan untuk menepati kehendak pihak parkson. Jin Sheng construction & engineering, applicator diamond cutting hilti (M) telahpun runnign the job dalam 3 minggu, dimulai dengan slab cutting dan masa aku datang, kerja2 beam cutting baru mula dijalankan. rebar agak besar dan rapat sepertimana yang dapat dilihat dalam gambar dan ini melambatkan kerja2 cutting. tetapi dengan menggunakan Hilti DLP32/ DSTS32 wall saw ianya agak mudah kerana Hilti DLP32/ DSTS32 dilengkapi dengan Active Torque Control dimana jika ia mengesan ia sedang memotong benda keras seperti rebar, ia akan adjust speed dan forward force sendiri menjadikan saw blade tidak stuck dalam base material dan cutting dengan lebih efisyen.
dengan jumlah beam yang banyak, mereka akan stay dalam jangka masa 1 bulan setengah di jobsite ni.

15 - 18 Mei lepas aku kt Penang utk site visit one of Hilti DSC (Diamond Service Contractor) yang diawardkan kontrak dismantling tnb prai chimney. chimney ni setinggi 104 m dari aras laut n aku dahpun naik sampai atas. mak oi gayat gle dari atas tu. angin kuat, panas matahari direct n sebagainye la... tapi kt malaysia ni banyak mana je chimney ni yg boleh naik sampai atas ni ryt?
